There are many parasites that attack the brain in nature. Some only attack animals, while others do not intend to attack humans.

The parasites take control of the brains of the victims and manipulate their bodies so that the victim helps the parasite as much as possible in its life cycle. Parasites come in many forms; fungi, worms or microscopic amoebas and can infect animals, manipulate them and kill them in many ways.

Video: Brain Control

Below are two frightening examples of brain dominance in the animal world. In the first video, a flatworm enters a snail and transforms its tentacles into a wormlike one that attracts the birds that the worm wants to enter. The second video shows ants and other animals infected with spores of the parasitic fungus Ophiocordyceps unilateralis. The fungus causes the ant to look upwards and bite. After that, the ant is killed, but the fungus breaks out around the head and sprays new spores on other ants.
