Candy floss consists only of sugar and dyes and is easy to make with the right tools.

In the center of the candy floss machine, sugar is poured into a bowl, it is then heated until the sugar changes from being crystalline to liquid.

As the bowl is turned, liquid sugar is forced through a series of small holes. As soon as the sugar comes into contact with the air, it cools, but does not have time to regain its crystalline form, but instead forms the well-known sugar strands.

In a larger bowl, the sugar threads gather along the edge and when a stick is inserted there, the sugar threads stick to the stick and within a moment the candy floss is ready.

If you pour water over it, the sugar fibers dissolve and you can see that the candy floss consists of two tablespoons of sugar.
